Professor William G. Pitt joined the Chemical Engineering faculty at BYU in 1987 with a PhD from the University of Wisconsin. Since then he has supervised $3.7 million in research funds, serving as advisor to 31 graduate students.

Polymetric Biomaterials and Drug Deliveries: Dr. Pitt is noted for research in the areas of polymeric biomedical materials and drug delivery, with recent emphasis on ultrasonic enhanced drug delivery, which may permit delivery of chemotherapeutic drugs to the sites of cancerous tumor without affecting the rest of the body.
